The Duke's Holiday (The Regency Romp Trilogy Book &hellip by Maggie Fenton
5.0 out of 5 stars hilarious romp, 11 Aug 2014
Just a wonderful crazy romance full of a heroine who does not know any restraint or decorum, but will do anything to save her family, home and business. The hero is an OCD male who due to childhood trauma lives in regimented sanitised world except for his two friends a libertine and a fashion plate.
The burr in his life is Rylstone Castle & an A Honeywell, it is his journey to resolve this problem that leads to him finding life, love and a pig. The supporting cast is a complete menagerie that is beautifully written and directs the romance with aplomb. It is not a regency romance of the traditional kind but I enjoyed it more than most others I have read lately.
Shield of Winter: A Psy-Changeling Novel (PSY-CHAN&hellip by Nalini Singh
5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 11 Jun 2014
If you are new to this series of books do not read this book first, unlike some books it is not a stand alone story, and you will fail to realise the tight story telling and the intricacies of the Psy Changeling world. He is teetering on the edge of madness and is given this assignment to protect a group of Empaths who Kaleb (see Heart of Obsidian) hopes can stop the degeneration of the Psy net and people. Ivy is Vasic's responsibility and the story centres on their developing love story and… Read more
Miss Billings Treads The Boards by Carla Kelly
5.0 out of 5 stars Light bright frolic, 21 May 2014
Carla Kelly is a favourite writer and her books quite often move me to tears as she deals with horrific events of war and life with great skill and compassion. This book is not her normal fair but boy it's fun and fantastic. The hero is older, fat and balding who has lost his mojo! The heroine is broke and lost together they find there way and have fun doing it. The secondary characters are all fantastic and I wish I could invite them all to dinner. Miss Billings is worth it!
