The Broken Lance Part I by Frederick Hopkins
The Broken Lance Part I by Frederick Hopkins
The Broken Lance is a great book. The characters, especially the main protagonist Dietrich, are easy to relate to ensuring that you'll become engrossed in the story. The author does well to set the scene well as the story moves from place to place, and the editing ensures that the wording and pace of the book flows well. I look forward to the next in the series. A good read for those of you who enjoy dark humour.

I came across Dark Places in search for a short story in the fiction genre. I wasn't sure what to expect from a new author but I'm very pleased I purchased this.

If you enjoy fiction with strong characterisation and well structured writing, give this a try. The length is good for if you don't want anything too time consuming too.

The author alludes that this will be part of a larger series of books, which I will certainly be looking at when they're released.
