I, like most, was skeptical when news came that a Lego Movie was being produced. Then I discovered that the writer/directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, has also created Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street, two films that I thoroughly enjoy watching. Then the trailer hit, and my interest started to peak. I still had my reservations, but I went into the movie with high hopes. I can't tell you how glad I am that I did.

Reviews have been nothing short of glowing, and while we often like to challenge their views, I completely agree with what they say. First of all, the animation. You may find it difficult to believe that you can watch a whole movie created with… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars An exciting new drama, 20 Jan 2014

After Sherlock's dramatic series 3 cliffhanger ending, this will at the very least be a nice diversion before Doctor Who starts up again, though I think it has much more potential.

Having thoroughly enjoyed previous David O' Russel flicks like The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook, I was very excited to see his newest movie. Having seen all the awards and nominations, as well the critical praise this movie has been enjoying, I was ready for possibly his best film to date. I'm not sure if it was quite as good as Silver Linings Playbook, but American Hustle was still one of the best 2013 films I've seen. It was an insanely funny, brilliantly cast black comedy that had me laughing and holding my breath almost non stop. Comprised of all the David O'Russel favourites, including Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Bale was unrecognizable in… Read more
