Smokin' At The Paradiso - Live in Amsterdam ~ Willie Nelson
5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended., 7 April 2014
Phew! Where to start? This cd gives off good vibes even before you open it. It's on Corazong Records which resonates with Willie's background image; looking grand and imposing on the cover with his accepted colourful personage. So...it's Willie live in Amsterdam 2000, in front of a really appreciative audience and everything combines to get your foot tapping and put a smile on your face. In the booklet, in just 5 sentences, Amazon.com's Jeff Shannon nails the Nelson aura.Top-class written appraisals also from Dan Heaton Ed Wapper and Neal Mayborn. 68 minutes of real pleasure here from the irrepressible Willie Nelson. 20 numbers. Guaranteed any follower would enjoy this one.

Soil Soul Society: A New Trinity for Our Time by Satish Kumar
Today's leaders and those in power will cold-shoulder the principles advocated in this book. They will mock Satish Kumar as being an idealist, pronouncing him as someone who needs to "get real". Yet, as Satish asks, what have the realists achieved? Millions dead in wars. Millions dying of hunger and starvation, et al. How can we stop the rot? Satish calls for benevolent individuals and organisations such as Friends Of The Earth, Greenpeace, Oxfam, Medecins San Frontieres, etc., to come together and form a strong movement for change and transformation. Let the ayes have it! For the present, get this book and realise there can be a turn-about in policy for this afflicted world.

Apart from the calendar, however, the emphasis is on astrology which, to my mind, was too in depth. I simply want to do the right thing on the right day.I had a book titled "The Art Of Timing" which met this criteria but sadly is no longer current. Nevertheless I've retained the section from it that straightforwardlly tells what to do within each constellation period. Cross-referenced with "Gardening & Planting"'s calendar showing when these… Read more
