I bought this book a couple of months ago but wanted to wait till I had road tested a few recipes before I wrote the review. But right from the start I fell in love with this book - the thoughtful advice and guidance about ingredients and equipment as as well as the attractive layout and pictures. I am an expat working in Beijing and this book has been so helpful. The recipes are straightforward enough to be easily followed, and often there are suggested adaptations. Having the names of ingredients and the photos in the glossary has really helped me in the market to get exactly what I want, as my mandarin pronunciation is truly shocking. I bought this book in October and last weekend made another delicious meal in the slow cooker and thought I must come back and write a review! I was recommended to go on a low cholesterol diet last year, and this book has some really tasty, easy recipes. The author explains why some ingredients are particularly healthy and also introduces and explains some of the less familiar ingredients like millet and bulgur (well, less familiar to me, at any rate). I haven't been disappointed with any of the recipes, I've made about ten different things so far. I really enjoy this workout. It's a simple production - just Lucy and another lady on the roof of some Canary Islands hotels, and the music is pretty bland. The workout moves quickly - it always finishes before I expect it to, so it doesn't drag along. There's a variety of exercises and the instructions are clear and specific. It's not hyped up and afterwards, I feel great. I'd recommend it to beginners and intermediates.
