Truly outstanding debut album from Black Stone Cherry, the most exciting band in rock at the moment. I've had the privilege of seeing them live a couple of times and they are the real deal! This album is grade a - from start to finish there really isn't a bad song, every one is top class. The energy is relentless and the playing exquisite, the South have a history of producing incredible music and these boys from Kentucky are the latest edition to that impeccable list. 'Rain Wizard' maybe the best album (and set) opener ever... but to pick it out as the highlight would overshadow the other 12 tracks! "Hey hey, My my, Rock 'N' Roll will never die"... This is just a cd issued in America to replace the now deleted copy we… Read more

Firstly, taken as an album out of context this is fantastic and gets 5 stars easily... Every song is memorable, catchy, and simply put, balls to the wall rock! Unfortunately, however, this album will not be reviewed without a direct reference, either explicitly or not, to the tv series...
Critics automatically dismiss it as a band with "a singer who won a reality tv show", and fans of the show have usually made up their mind before the album is ever made! Fans of Lukas will rejoice and relish… Read more
