Autumn Rose (The Dark Heroine, Book 2) by Abigail Gibbs
I liked this and although it over laps with Dinner that does not seem to matter.

I did fine the 1st couple of chapters a wee bit confusing as in "where is this taking place" but that was soon answered...

I will definitely be getting the next one - who are the other heroines??

What a brilliant take on the Holocaust.

I loved all the characters, Sage, Leo, Ania and especially Minka... This did not feel like a work of fiction but a set of memoirs.

Jodi has really cracked this - I have read ALOT of survivor story's from the Holocaust and although in some respects this seems a tiny bit sanitised it seemed very realistic.

This (for me) was a very quick easy read.

I must confess that I am not a real zombie fan and do not usually enjoy reading about them.

BUT,

This is such a different take on the genre that I thoroughly enjoyed it - Freeman and Heap are great characters to love and the baddies are such boo hiss baddies that you revel in their nastiness....

Read this and see what you think - the ending for me was a jaw dropper and I will have to go re-read this one soon.....
