...not just for parents, but also extended family members too. Insightful, warm and down to earth. Discusses the ins and outs of parenting, and ways to make it easier, more natural...things that feel right, make sense. The author draws on many different sources, including her own experiences to do this. Focusing on respect, honesty and learning to lighten up on yourself and your kids, this is well worth reading at any stage of your family's development.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant., 13 July 2001
Very well written - the info, the layout - it's easy to use and very comprehensive. I have found it absolutely invaluable. Make sure you read all the intro stuff first though - it's incredibly important, as homoeopathy is potent stuff, and it can make the difference between it not working and you getting it spot on. Castro writes very warmly, unclinical, without compromising her professionalism. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful!, 13 July 2001
I referred to this book again and again throughout my pregnancy, and prepared herbs for my home birth, which was drugs, no stitches, just under five hours all told. The herbs were just one part of my overall preparation. The book is well written and fairly comprehensive, if a little scattered at times, with slightly different info on the same things in a couple of places, which meant I had to re-read a bit...the section on Herbs for Labour could be laid out better, but altogether, it worked for me! If you've never used herbs before though, consult a professional - they can be very powerful.
