Rutter: Carols from Clare ~ Clare College Singers & Orchestra
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, 2 April 2014
Great to see an old friend Classics for Pleasure again.
I chose this because of the traditional French Carols, and was thrilled with them. The Clare College Choir with female voices is a welcome alternative to boy trebles, and the orchestral contribution offers the same to the recording which have organ only.
So a welcome addition to the Christmas listening.
An illustrated monograph of Chartres cathedral: (b&hellip by E Houvet

A version of this produced in conjunction the incomparable Malcolm Miller is available with better illustrations in paper back in Chartres. This hardback edition stays open so it's easier to read the text and refer to pictures at the same time

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read, 9 Sep 2013
Typical Vargas. A clever plot well written with the usual characters and some new ones (not necessarily human) appealingly portrayed.
