Anyone who has ever considered that the only nation to release the nuclear bomb (twice) is the United States Of America - and the United States of America is the world's policeman, with the world's greatest nuclear and traditional arms weaponry arsenal - should read this book. David Cromwell lifts the lid on double dealing, propaganda and downright lying in American political life and it affects us all.

It's a good price and might keep a child amused for a few hours, but a better play doh set would be bigger tubs of doh and fewer fairly useless bits and pieces. OK, but limited.
The Magic Of The Faraway Tree [DVD]
My grand-daughter, aged 4, loved this and insisted on seeing it over and over again. I put this down to the power of Enid Blyton's stories. The graphics are woeful, really stiff and awkward; especially the depiction of the children who seem to move like robots. But it's colourful, there are plenty of stories to choose from and - as I say - it appealed hugely to its target audience.
