If only the chillout lounge was a real place! I absolutely love this music. I'm a pretty big fan of the downtempo/chillout genre but I get quite fed up with most compilations as they tend to be full of bland music which I largely just leave playing in the background. The chillout lounge vol 3 is completely different (even from the previous 2 volumes in the series!) and really raises the bar for compilations. Both discs of this package play like an album rather than a compilation, full of really fresh, new and most importantly BEAUTIFUL music.

The first CD covers the more blissful & slow end of the spectrum with some magical tunes such as the lush inputJunkie remix of the Fragile… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect chill album?, 15 April 2008
Quite possibly my friends, quite possibly.

Firstly, let me make this clear - this isn't just a collection of tunes. This is a crafted compilation with real care chosen to ensure that the tracks flow together and that the music as a whole is smooth as can be.

It contains 2 CDs, the first one being blissful chillout music, the second one being more uptempo. The thing that strikes me about both CDs however is how unique they sound. They're really rich in texture and both have a distinct 'feel' to them.

CD1 - The blissful chillout album.

The book is great (though reviewed in more depth elsewhere) but whatever you do don't buy this edition!!

There is some swearing and bad language in the book (though really not much) and in this edition is has been edited out so it says "unprintable you" literally like that. Or "obscenity we are in trouble".

I've never come across this before and it's incredibly annoying reading it.

In short - don't buy this edition, but do buy this book.
