The Chillout Lounge Vol.3: More... Downtempo Groov&hellip ~ Various Artists

If only the chillout lounge was a real place! I absolutely love this music. I'm a pretty big fan of the downtempo/chillout genre but I get quite fed up with most compilations as they tend to be full of bland music which I largely just leave playing in the background. The chillout lounge vol 3 is completely different (even from the previous 2 volumes in the series!) and really raises the bar for compilations. 5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect chill album?, 15 April 2008

This product contains 3cds in beautiful and robust packaging. You get both of the original albums ('the facts and the dreams' and 'voices from the dust bowl') along with a 3rd CD of remixes, both Fragile State remixes and remixes of Fragile State tunes by industry heavyweights like 4Hero, Future Loop Foundation and Digitonal.

I've separated this review into two parts:

1) If you don't own any Fragile State music

Fragile State produce beautiful and funky chilled out goodness. Their tunes have a sweeping orchestral feel to them yet contain funky keyboard effects and beats which keep you nodding your head along to the tunes. Although largely instrumental… Read more
