5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent., 28 Aug 2007
Previous Biffy fans bemoan this LP in a really harsh way. I wasn't a Biffy fan before this album. It sits very nicely with my Idlewild and Hell Is For Heroes records... Only, maybe even better. Good quality from start to finish. Check it out unless you're an old fan of Biffy Clyro, then it seems that you should avoid, apparently!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best album ever?, 28 Aug 2007
I'm only 26 years old. I love The Smiths, Joy Division, Idlewild, Hell Is For Heroes, Royksopp, Biffy Clyro... So, in all honesty, I should hate Pet Sounds. However, I LOVE it. It's right up there in my top ten albums of all time. I only got it 'cos its name kept cropping up in all the "best of all time" lists, and I liked 'God Only Knows'. Geez what a revelation!!! I have since tried one or two other Beach Boys albums, but found them all fairly dire. This is the one to get. Awesome beyond all comprehension...

5.0 out of 5 stars Swooningly Brilliant..., 21 April 2007
People seem to be under the impression that this got savaged upon it's release in 1999, although I remember NME giving it 9/10, which isn't exactly a mauling, is it? Anyways... I love this album. It's my favorite Bunnymen LP by a country mile. And yes, I have compared it to 'Crocodiles' and 'Porcupine' and even 'Ocean Rain'. I just love this record. So many timeless, mature, relaxing and beautiful songs. It's the Bunnymen's heartbreak album (I guess every band has got to have one sooner or later), and it decimates the likes of Coldplay and Travis. If you're in the mood for lost nostagic summers and memories of past loves, then this is the album for you.
