This is quite possibly the best diet cookbook I have ever used. All the recipes use ingredients that are easy to find, and there are lots that use "store cupboard" ingredients so you don't have to shop specifically for every meal. One of the best things about this book is that the whole family have enjoyed every meal we have cooked form this book.
Perhaps the reason is that the recipes are not all from one chef, but from a whole host of contributors. I am sure the recipes have probably appeared in one form or another in various weightwatchers publications, but here they are all together in one place, with clear and concise instructions.

We bought this book hoping to find some recipes to take the place of takeaway food, which the title suggests is the core purpose. This book is obviously American in origin, and many of the ingredients are not available in UK shops. Conversely the excellent selection of European, Asian and Chinese ingredients that are available in the UK and Europe are forgotten. The measures are American, and make little sense to a UK audience - there isn't even a helpful conversion guide.
This is a poor effort, and although the point's values are displayed clearly in each recipe most would need adaptation to be able to cook them in the UK so these values are useless.
