Rise of The Fenix (CD/DVD Deluxe) ~ Tenacious D

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected better, 14 July 2012
Considering this album was over four years in the making it's a bit of a let down. I am a big Tenacious D fan and went to see their show recently...but those who have given it five stars are kidding themselves. This is nowhere near the standard of their first (and best) album, either in terms of rock music or comedy.

It actually feels a bit rushed. A couple of songs feel like they're there to make up numbers and several others have some tasty riffs that are crying to be expanded on but end up falling short of what I would expect. To top it off it's just not as funny as their other albums.

The Mathematics of Poker by Bill Chen

2.0 out of 5 stars A very difficult read, 19 Nov 2008
In my enthusiasm to improve my poker game I bought this book. Unfortunately it is for the most part written in a foreign language - that of complex mathematics. Some university friends, who study the like of physics and maths AT DEGREE LEVEL, rated the majority of concepts presented in this book as challenging. For the average poker fan I simply cannot recommend this text unless you are prepared to spend a very considerable amount of time studying the hundreds of equations presented in this extremely in depth book.
Chuck ~ Sum 41
Chuck ~ Sum 41

Quite simply in my opinion, "CHUCK" is yet another Sum 41 masterpeice. If you liked any of their previous releases, you will love this. The amount of pure punk energy that Deryck, Dave, Stevo and Cone put into their music is unmatched by any other band, including the likes of Blink 182 and Green Day. This raw energy, when mixed with the mind-blowing vocals of Deryck and hard drum beats of Stevo, is a total knockout. Brilliant.
