Anyone from a chemistry geek (ie, me) to a person just curious about the world around them would find something to enjoy in this encyclopedic exploration of all the elements, natural and manmade. Even the rarest elements have a detailed entry, explaining their role in the environment, society, and an interesting fact. The "Element of Surprise" fact is perhaps the best treat of the book, showing an unexpected side to each atom. Along the way, a firm grounding in the history of chemistry, scientific measurements, and particle physics is given in easily accessed language. Yamada DVD 5520 Multi-region DVD Player by Umax

My Yamada arrived this morning and all I can say is that it's a brilliant DVD player. For 40 you can't go wrong with a machine that plays DVDs, CDs, VCDs, and more. The picture and audio quality is up to the DVD standard and the player comes with plenty of connection cables to hook it up to a surround sound system and/or TV. A SCART cable would have been nice but I managed to have one laying around the house.
The manaual nearly gave me a heart attack when it said Region 2 Only but a day spent playing DVD's from Canada and America proved to me that the multiregion ability is actually present and functioning!
