2.0 out of 5 stars Overall, pretty poor, 12 Sep 2014
I bought this to provide some extra security on a motorhome sun awning. The awning seems so flimsy I daren't leave it out in anything beyond a gentle summer breeze. I have used this strap once so far, and it certainly worked, but I am not very impressed with it.

Firstly, the ground spikes. They are made from fairly soft flat sheet metal bent in to shape, and the hooks on them consist of a bit of vaguely-S-shaped metal threaded through a hole in the spike and held in place with a really pathetically tiny little spot weld which doesn't look much bigger than a solder joint on a circuit board. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great kit, 26 Aug 2014
I had something very similar to this when I was young (40+ years ago now, eek!). Mine had various different circuit design cards which you placed on the base, inserted very similar looking spring connectors, and then connected up components in the required places. I think the design of this set where the various components are all mounted on the base and you then just wire in the ones you need is even better - I was always hunting around in the box for the particular resistor I needed.

I bought this as a gift for my great nephew, I am now waiting to hear when he has got the radio working.

I did take note of reviews elsewhere saying this is a bit flimsy, but at this… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice mug, 26 Aug 2014
Bought this as a gift for someone (a pilot, obviously). It was very well received and gave everyone a good laugh. It's a plain but nice big chunky mug and the design looks very good. Given the price it's a bit of a shame they couldn't stretch to putting it on both sides, one star off for that.

I also can't begin to fathom the thinking behind the taking of the picture, why on earth would you photograph it like that, so that you can't quite see the design properly? Potty.
