In the current `political` and `politically correct` world, where nearly all of us with a modicom of intelligence and social conscience pause before we speak, especially in public or with those we are `unsure` of; this book makes fascinating reading even to those of us who are perhaps less than academic.

A gritty, graphic and gripping tale set in a post apocalyptic world.
Excellently conceived with a very dramatic and believable storyline. I enjoyed every page, from the instantly `attention grabbing` prologue to the end of its last chapter; leaving me hungry for future books in the series.
The characters are superbly developed as the book progresses and `Angelus` (The Black Crow), its central figure, is an absolute masterpiece in conception and creativity. If someone does not grab hold of the concept and create a series of films at some point, then the world of cinema will be much the poorer for it.
