The Busy Girl's Guide to Digital Photography by Lorna Yabsley

Don't be put off by the terrible terrible title of this book or the occasional truly cringe-worthy reference inside to 'girl(s)' (which make me want to scream btw!). The rest of this book is excellent and one of the best guides for beginners I've read. Finally someone who is able to explain the relationship between aperture, ISO and shutter speed, and how and if these affect depth of field, and what metering is and why you'd want to think about it, and focal length (something my photographer-friend couldn't do!), as well as giving ideas on composition for different subject, all in clear, unambiguous language without dumbing it down. Really very good indeed!

This is awful. Pictures are repeated and it talks about looking good for men... In 2013? Really? Total and utter tosh!

5.0 out of 5 stars My hero is back!, 13 April 2013
Life doesn't get any easier for Jenny, but she keeps on standing up anyway! Another great book to make you wish a long journey would last longer, or that there were extra at night to keep on reading. Can't wait for book three and fear we've been spoiled by the quick release of book two after book one.
