First things first - yes, being a hard rock/prog collection of songs, most of the music on this album is incredibly silly, full of weird time signatures, long and involved solos, and some jaw-droppingly complicated musicianship. Don't let that put you off, though, because it is also awesome.
As a portrait of a band that has changed through the years, becoming more sophisticated and also more mellow (well, they are getting on a bit), this is an excellent way of getting into Rush's music.
