John Clare and the Folk Tradition by George Deacon

I bought this book after going to see an Easter Angles production featuring the life of John Clare which unfortunately omitted all of his own music in favour of rather inappropriate 20th century pop. I expected a fiddle tune book, but although is has plenty of tunes in it, it is much more of a proper book with all the songs he collected or referred to and relevant extracts from his letters and analysis. This is a great source for folk singers or musicians and an essential read for anyone interested in John Clare or the village fiddle player of his time.
Celtic Cornish Tin St Michaels Way Shell Earrings &hellip St Justin Ltd
These beautifully made earrings were nicely packaged with a little card explaining both the significance of tin mining in Cornwall and of the scallop design to pilgrims in the past. The tin used gives a beautiful shine to them and, as the traditional material for the 10th Wedding Anniversary, made them an ideal gift. Would also be valued by anyone who loves Cornwall or interested in Celtic lore. My wife was really pleased with them.

However, as it stands it is still a very good book and worth taking on a Mediterranean… Read more
