AA Car Essentials Solar-Powered Car Battery Charge&hellip by AA
It is, as the user guide states, a 'maintainer' not a charger. How can it be anything else as it only produces a small amount of current. So, whatever state your battery is in, it can only really keep it that way at best, thus offsetting its natural tendency to self-discharge. I can't say how effective it is at doing this as I haven't had it long enough, so will update when I have more to say. For those who have heavy system drains, alarms, trackers, etc, the battery will probably still drain over time. I also have a leisure battery in my vehicle, and will be using it for both. We'll see how it copes. Batteries like getting a little charge which should stop any sulphation which can occur if… Read more

Being slightly less than 4amps, and depending on how empty your battery is, it gets there slowly, but, once it's reached 80% capacity, it switches from full charge to absorption, slowly reducing the charge as it makes its way to 100%. Which is very good for the life of the battery. But, so far, it's been on absorption mode for 8 hours after taking a… Read more

I contacted the company and asked them if they were using the word leather just a little too loosely? There is something called 'Bonded leather'. It is a term the furniture industry uses, as well as other unscrupulous manufacturers, to describe vinyl. The company confirmed that the ear pads were not in fact leather after all, and even though they should not have said they were in the first place, assured me they would change the text asap to reflect that. As of the date of this review (which comes a few days after this), you can see they still have not bothered doing so. Let's see how long it takes them to do it (if they ever do) now the truth has appeared here.
