This is a better than expected American high school tale about a teen with no morals been possessed by the devil from watching the playback of a video from a past murder. He then possesses fellow teens via video and can then control them. Its a good solid fun horror; there are no twists or questions to be asked, a real no brainer kind of film. Despite the story line it feels far more like a 90s post Scream slasher and less like a J-horror. The cast are superb including Christian Slater as a sleazy pervy cop.

I best say before this review that I have never been a big fan of films involving Dolls or Dummies, Puppet Master Etc as I have never found them creepy or scary so the horror never works on me. I always think the stories work well as part of an anthology in a quick 20 30 minute bite, but films like this always run out of steam for me.

The first segment involves a man who has had an eye transplant and can now see dead people. The acting is awful, the script is awful it aims for boo scares but fails due to the awful makeup of the supposed dead and introduces a woman just so she can get topless. Not the best start to an anthology.
The second segment is a cheap low budget first person view zombie moment, the sort of short film that you always seem to get at horror festivals, unoriginal and boring. Hard to believe it was the same director as The Blair Witch Project and Lovely Molly.
The third short about a cult has some very good gore moments and will please all the low budget gore fans out there but it all feels… Read more
