My 8yo daughter absolutely loves these specials. The first one we watched was the Africa one and that's still our favourite but this and the new Burma one come very close behind. I never thought an 8 yo girl would be interested in top gear but she often asks for the DVD to be put on and sits laughing at it for ages. We can't wait for next years instalment.
Bond Reasoning Puzzles Non-Verbal Reasoning 9-12 y&hellip by Lynn Adams
5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful book, 30 Oct 2013
I brought this book as I'm a private tutor and I have a tutee taking his 11+ this year. I was looking for something to motivate him for the verbal and non verbal reasoning sections of the test and this along with the partner book (verbal reasoning puzzles) looked ideal.
The book has done its job and motivated the tutee as well as being useful in my other job as a secondary school maths teacher, I use some puzzles with my form as a form activity to start the day and the others I have used in class on occasion too.
I would highly recommend this book if you have a child taking the 11+ soon or for general fun and interesting puzzles to do with a child.

I don't normally read autobiographies or non fiction, to me a book is about escapism not real life, however I read an extract of this book in the newspaper and as it was on offer I downloaded the rest. From the moment I started reading it I couldn't put it down, the writing is excellent and the author has thoughtfully kept jargon to an absolute minimum. I have recommended this book to friends and family as a great read and many are now reading it too. I really can't recommend this book highly enough.
