Depressed, dismayed and disappointed, previous reviews rave about this disk, sadly I am unable to share their views, even though I was desperate to. I listened and hoped to re kindle the many memories I once had of this LP and as each track played I found myself becoming depressed at the engineers failure to capture the original sound of the LP. The remastering has gone some way towards reducing the noise of the LP but in doing so has completely lost the original quality that was S & G. As a collection of memories in sound, fine but as remastered copy of the fine original -failure. Buy the original LP and listen to the difference.

Nat King Cole had a great voice and was an accomplished pianist, this cd is good by any stretch of the imagination, with the first 13 tracks on the piano and the remaining tracks displaying the Cole singing voice in all its glory. The opening track and title of the cd is great the quality of the recording beggars belief going back over thirty years and the clarity and sound stage is awesome. Quality is the bye word here and if our modern engineers could get some of this onto modern cd's well it would change the face of music. This cd is very well recommended.
