That's Why We Don't Eat Animals: A Book About Vega&hellip by Ruby Roth

As a long term vegetarian and a newbie to the vegan world I must say this is an excellent resource when trying to explain to children why we do what we do. I know some people have complained that it doesn't cover free range but even in free range there is still death and babies ripped from mothers. So it is being honest but not brutal or biased. The only complaint i have is that it doesn't rhyme (my child mad for rhymes). It's not a depressing book at all. Or brutal. It's informative and the pictures provoke discussion if child not old enough to fully grasp subject matter. This is one of the first books i have come across like this so i think it speaks volumes about where society is headed… Read more

Evolution of Ethan Poe, The by Robin Reardon
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant read, 26 Dec 2013
I really enjoyed this book. It centres on a boy called Ethan who lives in a small town where religion and science are clashing; add to the mix secret homosexuality, a dysfunctional jesus loves me brother, a killer dog Two, several layers of profound intellectual analysis and you have a great book worthy of reading. I think this book is about Eathan knowing who he is but having to learn to embrace it, which doesn't mean he has to shout from the roof tops but that he can let people he loves truely into his life. It has also helped me understand that there aren't two sides to choose from but everyone must find the right timing and place for whatever the want to do without stepping on anyone… Read more
Organic Children Spearmint & Aloe Vera Toothpaste by Green People
This product is brilliant. I have had a constant battle with my child to brush his teeth for years now using all sorts of brands of toothpaste. I saw this and thought at least it is good stuff if i have to fight for him to use it. Well one taste and my child is hooked, now brushing his own teeth and telling me how yummy it is. I think maybe the typical brands of toothpast are too harsh as filled with unneeded chemicals. This is simple and even i like using it. I also love the fact it is vegan, organic, fairly traded, recycled and lacks fluride. I shall be buying this ALOT now :) The only down side is the price but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for and this is worth it!
