Come On Over ~ Shania Twain
Come On Over ~ Shania Twain
The USA version of this album, which I own, is fabulous. It is a perfect hybrid of country and pop music. However, for the 1998 and 1999 reissues, Mercury decided to (why, I do not know) remix a fabulous album into something which was just, well, rubbish. Leona's made an excellent album again. Problem is...on the cover she's doing the Ayumi Hamasaki fishlips!

The album starts off with the fun, dancey "Not yet", which leads into the quartet of rock songs, 'until that Day...', 'Startin', '1 LOVE' and 'It was'. This leads into an interlude, 'LABYRINTH', which leads into the ballad 'JEWEL'. 'momentum' follows, and she takes on a dancey approach. The next interlude 'taskinst' leads into 'Born To Be...', 'Beautiful Fighters', 'BLUE BIRD', 'kiss o'kill' and 'Secret', which ends the album on a very high note. This is a brilliant album and I love it to pieces.
