Living,as i do, only 50 yards from 'Lils' chippy in Middleton. I have known and been a customer of the grand old lady and her family for best part of 40 years now. I first went to her old shop with my dad back in the mid 60's They are lovely hard working people who always have a smile for their customers. This fascinating book of her mum s life story was actually recommended to me by Maybel (lils daughter) one night when I was in her chippy buying her lovely late mams curry. It really is a great tale of courage and determination in the face of great hardship. A cracking read, most enjoyable!... Just like Old Lils lovely curry itself!
I now regulary buy these little miracles from Swanson every couple of months,in order to keep my gout at bay.I personally would not consider going anywhere else! A great product that really works!..At a decent price!
Bought this firstly because it would look the part in our cottage kitchen. Spot on on that one! Secondly, I managed to get one on offer which had the tiniest little mark on the exterior enamel(reducing it from £60 to £27!!!!..Yes i said £27!!) It ranks up there now with one of the best internet deals ive ever had! In all honesty though,it would still have been a good kettle for the full price! All in all..Its a very well made, good capacity, lovely simple to use electric kettle that does what it promises very fast! I have had it for two months now with not a single issue!
