This really does give you an excellent comprehensive introduction to the internal workings of Solaris.

However I suspect most readers approaching this subject may require some background. I can recommend a very old book (1983, but later versions are available cannot comment on these!), but still, a superb introduction that would form an ideal basis before approaching this "heavyweight". The book is Operating Systems by Harvey M Deitel. Available used for a few bucks.

This is a Solid book. Period.

Purchased for a few pounds including delivery and never had a problem. For that price really can't say much more.

A great book. Really helps me keep motivated and the author was gracious enough to reply to my emails. Many strategies very applicable in fact to Business oddly enough - I guess that is the nature of competitive sports.
