I think this book is aimed at teenagers. I was disappointed as the description seemed to be just what I was looking for.

I'm not sure how I came to read this book, it is a teenage novel that was certainly not marketed that way. I am at a loss as to where it is supposed to set in England or in the USA? The names of all the characters are very American: Jenna, Cole, Oakley. I mean really, Oakley? Yet the writer talks about Sixth Form one minute then changes to High School the next. Mexican night suppers? Sweet Sixteen? Very confusing. And what school in the UK would allow a child to stay mute by choice for 11 years without getting social services involved?? Very strange book. Great idea, well paced with interesting characterisation. However, the ending was very rushed and I still don't know what Harry's connection was to the whole thing.....?
