1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money, 5 July 2012
The 'book' is roughly 4 chapters long and the never before published photos by Avedon were taken of the author's family whilst Avedon was on a weekend holiday. Save your money for something more worthwhile. The product description is misleading

1.0 out of 5 stars A huge disappointment, 12 Feb 2012
Having read and thoroughly enjoyed 'A quiet belief in Angels' I was looking forward to reading this new story. It started off reasonably well but detective Irving seems to have been lifted from so many other similar characters - mid life, lonely, no love life and disillusioned. The characters for me lacked originality and I could not empathise with any of them. It was a struggle to finish the book but as the well known phrase says 'I've started so I'll finish' however, the end, when it came was almost as if the author had no idea how to end the story and simply stopped. Sorry Mr Ellory, must do better!
Photography Essentials: Full Frame by David Noton

An entertaining and informative book with superb photographs that show what can be achieved with a DSLR and patience/experience. Mr Noton has excelled once again and his easy readable style of imparting advice makes it a thoroughly enjoyable read. Having purchased both his DVDs and his previous book 'Waiting for the light' I wondered if I would be disappointed by this second book, but NO! I throughly recommend this book to anyone interested in travel and landscape photography. Can't wait for the next book.
