Slaughterhouse 5, or The Children's Crusade - A Du&hellip by Kurt Vonnegut
My favourite novel. The greatest book ever written, I believe. A deeply nuanced, hilarious, heartbreaking, angry, righteous masterpiece. It's like being told some surreal, drug addled war story by your favorite uncle. I love how he combines trashy sci-fi with anguished memoir; grand tragedy with comic anecdote; fierce polemic with simple human interest. Like a 20th C Shakespeare.

I've read a few novels more that once but this is the only one I have read more than once *in a row*. The first time I finished it, I just turned it over and started again. Simply that good.

Not the best in the series but the end to an incredible epic.

My favourite TV series. Like "The West Wing" in space: honed, razor-sharp political thriller meets high-sci-fi action epic. Incredible. Contains comical, made-up swear words.
