The two main protagonists are really good actors given the right material, unfortunately, in this series, they're not...So even they can't rescue it! ( I'm also still wondering why in the 21st Century, somebody as smart as Sherlock Holmes mistakes Inductive reasoning for deductive?)
The empty hearse was ok , written by Mark Gatiss
But switch to Steven Moffat and Sherlock suddenly becomes a victim to the 6th form drama effect.
Crappy, cliched, shallow, unconvincing dialogue, which thinks it's smart but isn't.
Over- dramatised sequences with suitably strident music, try to fool us that's there's actually something going on!
