Toys of Wood Oxford Wooden Shape Sorting Clock / W&hellip by Toys of Wood Oxford

I had the Melissa and Doug version of this toy clock for baby number one, so I assume the M&D clock was the original and this is a close copy. However, I think this one is better! A few of the number blocks have gone missing from our first clock so I was looking to replace it for baby number two, but I read the reviews for the M&D one and decided to buy the Toys of Wood Oxford version instead. I've had a few items from this brand and they have all been excellent, plus you get the added entertainment of reading the Chinese translations on the box!
But back to the clock itself: the clock sits on a slanted base so it is easy to see the whole clock face. It is made of solid wood with a… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars So funny!, 28 May 2012
My little boy (2 years old) loves and adores this book. Both the pictures and text are very funny, and my heart always melts when we get to the bit about the astronaut having a photo of his mum in his spacesuit pocket. My son has also learnt vocabulary such as astronaut, asteroid, planet and the names of several objects in the Solar system by reading this book. The text is simple but there are lots of speech bubbles and captions so you can make the reading longer and more detailed if you want to. I have knocked a point off the rating because the page about living on another planet is spoiled, in my opinion, by having a googly-eyed green alien in the astronaut's house. The idea of taking a… Read more
Red Castle Luxury Changing Mat White by Red Castle

This is a luxurious mat for the most important person in your house. The product description doesn't make it clear that the mat inside is plastic covered, just like the standard rectangular ones. The mat is curvy and has thicker edges than a standard mat, handy if your baby is a roller. The plastic mat is slipped into a towelling envelope, and then there is a towelling liner on top of that, held in place with velcro. This means that you can easily whip off the liner for small accidents, but the entire towelling cover is machine washable for larger disasters. (So I was daring and bought the white one, but I haven't washed it yet.)
I have awarded 4 stars because I think it's expensive… Read more
