Raintown: Legacy Edition ~ Deacon Blue
Raintown: Legacy Edition ~ Deacon Blue
5.0 out of 5 stars So much music, 12 April 2014
If you like Deacon Blue, go buy this one. There's enough extra stuff on this 4 disc release to go and buy it once more, if you already have the original cd/lp. All the great b-sides (and the not so great b-sides) are all here and the whole album is compiled once more in live versions. On top of that there's a dvd with promo videos. If I should have asked for anything more, which I don't, it could have been some live footage on the dvd. Bravo Deacon Blue. All re-issues ought to be this complete.

I would never have imagined a book of this size and quality about such an extravagant and "small" band as The blue nile. I even guess I would not have recommended its release had I been a commercial book publishing company wanting to make money. And that's what makes it so special; appearently there are still people out there who cares about good music, even if a book about it will not exactly end as a bestseller. Thank you so much Polygon books, who took this chance with Allan Brown, so that the fans who've been following this unit since the 80's (and other fans as well of course) can finally learn why there's 7-8 years between each release, where they came from and what they've actually… Read more
