Just after reading the story on which the movie was based, I got word that "Dagon" would be featured at a national movie festival and took the chance to watch it. Heaving seen other adaptations of Howard Philip Lovecraft's work ("Reanimator" and "Necromicon") I was very interested how the producer would have dealt with the almost impossibility to make the words of the story into a image.
Like the earlier movies, one of the biggest problems of adapting Lovecraft's work to movie was not the fact that it is so difficult to envision fear of the unknown, but how to implement the female characters.
