Don't Cry by Beverly Barton
Don't Cry by Beverly Barton
5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book, 7 April 2012
This is the first time I've read a Barton novel and I will be going back to read some of her previous work now. I thought it was excellent - well written, full of suspense and enough red herrings to keep me guessing. The relationship between JD and Audrey was fabulous and I hope there are sequels to this book.

I'll agree with lots of other reviewers that this is an easy read. However, I found it a bit predictable - without giving away the plot the "twist" was easy to guess from the start. I'm not particularly a fan of Martina Cole et al so gangster/prostitution/violence is not really my bag and I'm probably not the right audience for it.

I thought the most interesting thing about this book is that it is meant to be based on the author's personal experiences. I'd much rather read her autobiography to be honest. In fact, I enquired as to whether she might write one through her Twitter but had no reply.
Mrs Moneypenny's Careers Advice for Ambitious Wome&hellip by Mrs Moneypenny
Disclosure: I work for Mrs Moneypenny. One of the things this book has made me do is think about my priorities and how I should go about setting myself goals and achieving them. Although there is quite a heavy emphasis placed on financial literacy and qualifications even if those are not things you to aspire to this is a helpful read which will leave you pondering what your own career (and life) goals are and whether you are doing the right things to get to where you want to be. Practical tips on networking and how to build relationships are useful no matter which sector you work in. This is one of those books you will read, put down and have a think and then read again.
