I went straight to the entry on the Moulton Mk1, a bike I know a lot about. The entry had incorrectly captioned photos of later Moulton AM series bikes and seriously inaccurate technical information. According to the article, Alex Moulton attributed the poor performance of existing designs to the "lack of wide low pressure tyres", but this is entirely wrong. The Moulton had narrow (or at least "normal" section, high pressure tyres and suspension to compensate for the smaller tyre diameter. Raleigh's RSW 16 *later* eschewed suspension in favour less sophisticated but lower cost fat balloon tyres and was criticised by Moulton for the subsequent sluggish performance and high rolling… Read more

The characters are supposed to be smart, but they are superficial and shallow with an extraordinarily narrow world view. More "big brother" material than "university challenge". Interminable discussions of videogames are inane and seriously date this book. The technical aspects are not well researched, and the section about Paul amalgamating several mobile phones to create a video game is implausible, and the section repeatedly refers to "LED screens" when it means LCD. If an author is going to write about supposedly "smart" people, she has to be at least as smart or well reasearched. A prmising premise that does not deliver.

When delivered I was surprised that these were white-wall. Look pretty cool though, and a great replacement for knobblies to reduce rolling resistance if you never intend to go that far off road. Tread ruggeed enough for use of tow-paths and other well-packed rough paths, so a good all-rounder for most uses.
