The best bit about this album is the vocal performance. Lovely, haunting vocals over a powerful backing. The DVD is also worth watching.

You "comeback" a decade later with a crap live album.
I hate to be negative about anything, but I feel that I should warn anyone who is thinking about buying this particular album to BEWARE. I'm a big fan of the Double Eclipse album and always wondered what the songs would sound like live. If this recording of the current band line-up is anything to go by, I'm glad I never paid any money to go see them.
Any live album which starts with an introduction which tell the crowd (and when I say crowd, it sounds like it was recorded in front of 30 people in a club somewhere... and 25 of them are propping up the bar) that the band are tired… Read more

What a book. A great, explosive trip through the mind of The Rik Mayall. Like Ozzys_babe said, don't expect a date by date account of His life but a steady stream of funny tales written in The Mayall style. The story of his life is in there, but it takes a little imagination to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of it all.
Like Ozzys_babe, I met The Rik Mayall (at the Manchester signing) and chatted about Colin Grigson, nut allergies and how cool we all are for 10 precious minutes and he is a total star who has written The Great Book for His legion of fans to cherish and enjoy.
