HOLD ROME IN YOUR HAND TO BE TRANSPORTED

Having had a great interest in all things Roman, Greek and Egyptian since childhood, I recently found myself in the British Museum searching for a Xmas present for my wife. Having found one, my eyes were continually drawn to this beaker - like a small fragment of Trajan's column - glinting mysteriously in the cabinet next to my purchase; however, even with my member's discount 160 seemed extravagant for a personal present BUT the "silver vision" lingered.

Always a well-informed, interesting and thought-provoking writer, in this short book (only 110 A5 pages) she examines a phenomenon which has been a feature of human life for millennia but she looks specifically at a modern issue - viewing the suffering of others as seen on the screen, the way we view the media and the effects of its depiction of human suffering on readers and viewers. However, although she discusses imagery closely, the book is unillustrated and some readers may find that off-putting.)

ALWAYS CHECK BOTTLE DETAILS - this should not be used on maple fretboards

Fretboards are usually made from maple, rosewood, Pao Ferro or ebony and well-used fretboards become unsightly and dirty unless cleaned regularly but it is not just dirt; the harmful effects of sweat, salt and water, will not be removed by simple rubbing with a cloth. Fretboards need to be cleaned to maintain their appearance and increase their effectiveness; although ebony fretboards do not need the continued nourishment other woods require, all fretboards look better after a thorough clean.
