Fandango ~ The Phoenix Foundation
Fandango ~ The Phoenix Foundation

This is a fantastic album, and dare I say it, the best offering yet from The Phoenix Foundation. I discovered them a while ago when they did the soundtrack for Eagle Vs. Shark, but they've just gotten better and better over the course of the last two albums. This album is a bit of a departure from the original sound they used to have, and I have to say it's a great improvement when you compare their first album. Fandago is chilled and sunny, for the most part upbeat, and with some songs which have quickly become firm favourite. The less upbeat songs are nearly always beautiful, Thames Soup being my favourite. While a couple of songs could be said to be a bit self indulgent, they're… Read more

Well, I honestly couldn't tell you what this book is about. The storytelling is fundamentally flawed, while I can see the author is attempting to create mystery and intrigue by having each chapter begin in a different setting, the story is disjointed and nonsensical, creating huge...well using the word 'plot holes' would indicate it had a coherent plot in the first place. The story follows the bizarrely-named 'Jif Kitchen' (I have a feeling the author just scanned the room for brand named products while thinking of characters) an overweight Yorkshireman who travels to Japan to work for a shady weapons dealing company called Lime Inc.(A rather big graduation from being a Tesco trolley boy)… Read more
Sandisk 8GB Sansa Clip MP3 Player with Radio - Si&hellip by SanDisk
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Little Gadget, 16 July 2010
I'll probably jinx myself by saying this, but my Sandisk is fantastic. I ordered it after my old Sony finally gave up the ghost and I was expecting to have trouble with it as I have what I refer to as an electronics curse (Almost all the electronics I've owned in the last ten years have broken inexplicably or had something wrong with them) but I can't fault this little player. It has an easy to use interface, an excellent battery life and fantastic sound quality, as well as having the added bonus or a clip on the back to attach to your belt, very handy for exercising, and being so tiny it fits in the palm of your hand!
Heartily recommended.
