Egg Perfect Colour Changing Egg Timer by Burton Plastics
3.0 out of 5 stars Egg Timer, 25 Feb 2010
It's OK! That's about all I can say.
I bought one to avoid the hapzardness of boiling eggs using the microwave as a timer, but have discovered that using this egg timer does depend on whether your definition of a 'soft' boiled egg is the same as the inventors!
I have always thought of a 'soft' egg as still having the white slightly runny (like snot, as my children so succinctly put it) - which I don't like; but with this, a soft egg has a hard white, and a runny yolk. just right!
A 'medium' egg according to this timer is vitually hard boiled; a cause of major disappointment at breakfast time!

This does exactly what it says on the tin!

I like the fact it has two alarms, which can be set for week-days/weekends/every day - so I have one alarm time setting for work days, and another for the weekends; no hassles!
The display brightness can be adjusted easily at the back - but the lowest setting is fine for… Read more

This book left a horrid taste in my mouth!
It seems to have been written by some-one who not only dislikes the Chalet school series, but who, at the same time, wants to upset those who have grown up with the books and the characters that EBD created. To me it felt like I was reading about close friends, but not the way I knew them - as if it had been written by some-one who had set out to deliberately tarnish my memories of those friends.

I love, and still regularly re-read all my Chalet School books, but this is one book I won't ever read again - although I have tried, just in case my initial reaction was over-strong - it wasn't!.

Do not waste your time or money… Read more
