I have been looking for a book that will support the Arab position without resorting to falsified accounts of history, misquotations, more on facts and less on polemics. Sadly this is not it.One of the problems in writing a balanced history is that while western sources are more freely to come by, the Arab archives are not on the whole available. This is a feature raised by eminent historians like Bernard Lewis, whose accounts can be relied much more upon than the likes of Ilan Pappe and this author, who almost certainly has not gone to primary sources.
