I have one of these cages and it is good for temporary purposes (I use it for short periods when cleaning and airing their big cage and had to keep one degu in it for a while after a falling out) and it would be great if you needed a transport cage e.g. if you are taking them to a relative for a holiday but it is NOT big enough for a permanent home. Ideally a cage for 2-3 degus should be double this size.

Furthermore you need to put something on the wire floors (wood, metal or even cardboard) as the wire will give them bumblefoot which is very painful.

So while it's a useful second cage (and mine ia relatively easy to flatpack and store) it should not be your only cage.

Its second surprise was it arrived full of gas contrary to the product description. As my gas refill didn't come until a couple of days after the torch this was also quite handy. Not sure what the Royal Mail would have to say about it though.

The third surprise was… Read more

We saw this film as a secret preview at a cinema. If I had known about the plot I wouldn't have gone to see it as it isn't the kind of thing I'm normally interested in. If I hadn't been "tricked" into seeing it I would have really missed out.
Yes, it's about a loner (and an alcoholic to boot) hired to stop somebody kidnapping a child of rich parents in a South American country. Yes there's the almost inevitable befriending of child and protector to both their benefits, and the bad person is more or less obvious from the start blah blah all sounds very dull so far. However, it is beautifully shot, the graphics and subtitles are arranged on screen in a really interesting, innovative way,… Read more
