5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!, 25 Dec 2007
A friend from Europe recommended me to get this film, and I had never heard of it before, but decided to give it a watch based on the amazing preview. Straight from the start I was engrossed, and yes some of the parts are slightly bizarre, but they are also wonderful. The use of props and effects in this is immense, and visually it is a treat. It is also the storyline that makes this film so great; every character is well crafted and interesting, with the plot being fast moving yet 'real' and some of the quotes are really memorable and some parts really moving. There are also moments of comedy & the film is light-hearted with indeed a lot of heart. Everyone with whom I watched this with for… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth a listen (or 2), 23 July 2007
2AM (Breathe) is probably the song most people who have heard of Anna Nalick will have heard first (it has been used on TV series and films quite alot), and it definitely is representative of the quality of this album. It sounds fairly back to basics, but the production hits the right balance between that and sounding bare- so what you get is soulful songs which haven't been polished in a studio to become unrecognisable. Most of the songs (especially 'Wreck of the day','2AM','Paper Bag') will have you wanting to hear them again and again and… Read more

...but I did! I watched it as there was not much else on but tbh I wasn't expecting much. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be as brilliant as it was! Ok, so it's not a thought provoking-cutting edge-oscar nominated film, but it had me laughing out loud at parts and gasping in slight horror/surprise at some of the more unexpected ones. The idea is simple and you've heard it all before; 3 self proclaimed 'losers' join forces to get back at those who tormetned them when they were younger, and in this case that just happens to be by beating them at baseball (a sport they happen to have never played). So it sounds ridiculous and like a million other films, but the characters are superbly… Read more
