5.0 out of 5 stars Justice to a Survivor, 1 Aug 2013
What a great book, the author does justice to the remarkable and sad life of a survivor and friend.
He really brings home, when the camps were liberated it wasn't the end of their suffering, it continued through the bloodline.

I really enjoyed this book, its got a bit of everything in it, the USA the Soviets, superpower confrontations. But it tackles it from a different angle completely. Well done Mr Wheeler, you made an interesting subject even better, end of the world stuff from a different angle.

Lots of books have been written about the Russian revolution, and its aftermath. However, this is a book that tackles the pre-revolutionary period in Russia.
The book is largely based on true events that happened. So you get a bit of a history lesson without it being heavy in anyway.
Good characters, and a good read.
