I watched this film for the first time years ago and have loved it since. It's just a fun movie about a neighborhood full of kids who didn't have 500 cable channels to fry their brains, so they collected bottles to gather .98 cents to get a new ball everytime they hit it into the junkyard behind the Sandlot. The highlight of the film was when Squint faked his drowning so he could smooch the hottie lifeguard. Sit down with your kids and watch it frequently.
This was the third Hip album that I bought, because 'New Orleans is Sinking' was on the radio. (I'm Canadian, so that should clear things up) I soon learned there was much, much more. '38 Years Old', 'Opiated' and 'When the weight comes down' are the underrated standouts. I wish a had a dollar for everytime I've listened to this album.
