This book gives you some great inspiration for Halloween, from spooky decorations to creepy costumes and scarily sweet treats. There are a couple of things on my to-do list, including the marzipan beetles and zombie hands cupcakes. The recipes are brilliant because although they show the ingredients using US measurements they include the UK equivalents and I wish more books did this.
Having enjoyed their previous book, The Sugar Girls, I knew I would like this book. I like the way it is told through the experiences of four women who all had such different experiences. A really easy read and a great introduction to the subject.
This is a brilliant book. I had never tried origami before but found the instructions really clear and was pretty proud of my paper farmyard. The best thing is the patterned papers which really make the animals come alive.
