5.0 out of 5 stars Best cooler out there, 12 May 2010
This cooler works a treat for my 15" HP Pavilion dv6000 and is a perfect fit. It was previously running too hot to comfortably type on and the onboard fan was always running noisily at max speed (often due to many USB devices being driven, this seems to put a large strain on the power supply).

This cooler is a top quality perforated metal design on a plastic base, though due to the position of the fans and protruding legs probably best used on flat surface rather than on one's lap. My problem comes with the mouse wheel. Yes the free-wheel scrolling is amazingly useful and fast, with a rubber grip like a tire on the wheel so that you can stop instantly and exactly and this feature can be easily turned off with a mechanical switch on the base (Useful in some applications). Freecom have the most products in this category on the market (Which I believe shows their success and pedigree) and I chose this rather than their Firewire/USB drive because it was half the weight and 2cm smaller in length, also some reviews stated that the firewire cable sometimes needed to be supplemented by a USB power cable. I would have gone for a 320GB drive if it were in stock.

It looks and feels amazing and really is incredibly small and light. The cable is only 1"/3cm long but this is fine… Read more
