So if you want to talk music, then 5 stars. Period. If you want to talk item concept, then 5 stars. Period. The three stars come due to the way it's been put together. The materials are luxurious and have a nice, expensive feel. You get a beautifully illustrated booklet and two CDs. The problem is the manner in which the CDs are enclosed. They are not held in place with one of those plastic inserts with the little grip in the centre, they are both held in card envelopes that are part of the outer cover. I'm giving this review 3 stars simply because it does produce a nice, white light that is very easy to work with. I've taken the two stars off because mine lasted less than a year - way below the suggested possible life span. I'm not saying this is typical of these bulbs, but it happened with mine and therefore that will obviously bias my review. I have ordered another to replace it and so it will be interesting to see if this happens again. I don't know if this is a factor, but my bulb was positioned upside down so that the heat it generated would rise up to the bayonet end, as opposed to one mounted the other way where the heat would dissipate into the atmosphere.

Given that the product did what it said it would, I can't argue on that. However, the item I received has developed a fault. We now have to jiggle the cable around a bit until the power light comes on and then precariously hold the reader like that as we transfer the info to the PC. This may be localised to this one particular reader, as others appear to be having continuing success with theirs. I should point out that the reader has not be rough handled or mistreated.
