Does what it says on the tin. Used it for cutting my hair and trimming my beard and it worked without fault. What more can I say.

I recently started tying my own fly and need a book to start me off. I bought this book as it had plenty of fly patterns and seemed easy enough to follow when I used the 'look inside' option. As a whole, the book has lived up to my expectations and my only criticism is that not every detail is explained in detail, however, as this is not a beginners book then I guess this is ok. One real possitive is that the spine is a ring binder style which makes it great to leave open while you follow the instructions.

What can I say about this book, it is simply superb. What Pollan has done in this book is to bring together all the common sense that been learned about food over the last few thousand years and asks if what we've been doing to foods in the last few decades has really been beneficial.

The book begins by looking at modern food (i.e. processed food) and investigated how this `improved' food has impacted upon the health of the last few generations. The results show just how the food we are eating really is affecting our health despite all the miraculous health claims the packaging may have been making.
